Our Visitor Policy

Visiting Hours in the New Normal Period within the framework of the Ministry of Health, Higher Education Law and Related Legislation: Between 19:00 – 20.00.

Visitors are not allowed to visit patients whose doctors have deemed it unsafe to visit them.

A female companion is required for patients hospitalized in the Gynecology Department, especially for children under the age of 12, those with complaints such as fever, cough, sneezing and sputum production, those with a known infectious disease, those with any chronic disease, those who are prone to infection (weak immune system). It is recommended that they do not visit patients as it may be harmful to their health.

Things to Pay Attention to During Patient Visits

Patient visits should be made during visiting hours.

Visit duration should be short. (10-15 minutes)

There should not be more than one visitor per patient.

One should not sit on patient beds and should not touch anything at the bedside or in the hospital environment. Hands should be washed before and after the visit.

For the health of our patients’ health and service order, no noise should be made.

04

Patients should not be given any food items without the permission of the doctor and nurse.

Other patients should not be disturbed during the visit.

During patient visits; In order to prevent nosocomial infections, live and artificial flowers are not accepted in inpatient services, in line with the decision taken by the Infection Control Committee of our hospital. (The flowers you bring can be delivered to the security unit and collected at the end of the visit.)

Asking unnecessary and curious questions and demoralizing words and behavior should be avoided.

Visitors must respect patient privacy by leaving the room during the procedure or examination.

Do not make unnecessary or insistent requests for visits outside of visiting hours. Visiting hours are arranged according to the patients’ care-treatment, meal and rest times.

Do not forget that interventions you make for the sake of kindness may harm your patient.

At the end of visiting hours, patient rooms should be left without waiting for the warnings of the staff.

Our PATIENT RIGHTS UNIT, which can provide you with a solution when you encounter any problem in our hospital, provides service in the hospital polyclinic building.

There is NO SMOKING in our hospital in accordance with Law No. 4207.

Our hospital is monitored 24 hours a day with security cameras for your safety. Our security officers have the authority to check all kinds of packages and intervene in case of possible incidents.

Apart from all these main rules, it should be noted that each clinic can create its own visitor rules.

Intensive Care Unit Visit Procedures

Intensive Care Unit visiting hours are between 12:30-13:00.

Between 13:00 and 14:00, patients are shown to visitors on the screen in the camera room located at the emergency entrance.

In case of sudden emergencies that occur during intensive care hours, visitors are not accepted to the intensive care unit.

To visit patients in intensive care; Only one first-degree relative of the patient is admitted to the intensive care unit at a time (spouse, children over the age of 18, parents, siblings).

It is not necessary to wear overshoes when entering the Intensive Care Unit and during patient visits (Ministry of Health / General Directorate of Health Services regulation dated 14.01.2013 and numbered 1522).

Perform hand hygiene by using alcohol-based hand antiseptic when entering and exiting the Intensive Care Unit.

Do not come into contact with other patients or patient care materials other than your own patient.

The doctor decides whether the relatives of patients with suppressed immune systems can visit them. If not deemed appropriate, visitors are not allowed for these patients. Therefore, do not be persistent.

If you are going to visit your patient who is being monitored in the isolation room, follow the isolation rules and use appropriate personal protective equipment as instructed by the intensive care nurse.

Do not exceed 5 minutes during your patient visits. In emergency cases, you may be removed from intensive care earlier.

Do not bring food and drinks from outside when visiting a patient.

Visitors are not accepted outside visiting hours.

Who is informed about the patient's health?

If the patient is an adult and conscious; Information is given to him or his recommended first-degree relative (spouse, children, parents, siblings).

If the patient is unconscious; First degree relatives (spouse, children, parents, siblings) are informed.

If the patient is a child; The parent is informed.

04

No information about the patient is given to third parties.

Which Patients Should Be Visited?

Patients in intensive care,

Patients with infectious diseases,

Patients with impaired immune systems (patients receiving cancer treatment, organ transplantation, steroid treatment),

04

Patients whose doctor deems it inconvenient to visit (For these patients, information is obtained from the patient’s doctor at appropriate times).

Who Should Not Visit Patients?

Children under 15 years of age,

Patients with complaints such as fever, cough, sneezing and sputum production and patients with a known infectious disease,

03

Patients with any chronic disease,

04

People who are prone to getting infections.
